This is a timely word from my friend Tony Cavener who is a pastor/prophet that I have been in relationship for nearly 20 years. Back in the day we traveled to several nations and ministered together. His prophetic ministry and words have always been insightful and are ones I have seen as accurate.

"The Jonah Spirit Will Be Pruned from the Church!"

Last May, the Lord spoke to me and said to Prepare for the 'Summer of the 10 Spies.' I felt Him saying that the atmosphere of the nation would be charged with doubt, unbelief, fear, reports of impending disaster, conflict, and in general doom and gloom. This would be fueled by the news media and even fanned by Believers and those in the Body of Christ with an Old Covenant model of prophecy.

However the Lord declared, "I want My people to be of a 'different spirit' to pick up the mantle of 'Joshua and Caleb' and declare, 'But GOD.' It was not a denial that "there are giants" in our land, that is true, nevertheless we are not to see ourselves as "grasshoppers" but as the people of God, empowered by Holy Spirit, and favored by our Father who desires us to take back the land and recover the inheritance!

This past Christmas I felt the Lord saying that this will be the year that He will expose the "Jonah" spirit that many of the prophetic in the Body of Christ have been weaned on. Jonah was angry, bitter, judgmental, and self-focused. He wanted God to judge Nineveh and give them what they deserve and yet he knew God was merciful and full of compassion and would forgive and forestall any judgment if the people of Nineveh turned to Him. This was to a nation that was not in covenant with Him, and idolaters and Gentiles.

We all know the story and how Jonah was frustrated and bitter, that his prophecy of judgment did not come to pass due to the Ninevites turning to God, that he was upset that the gourd that was shading him died and left him in the hot sun. The Lord rebuked him that he had more compassion for the gourd, his own comfort and agenda, than even the children or livestock of Nineveh.

We are called not to model the prophets of the Law of Moses; we are to model the Lord Jesus, who is the very Spirit of Prophecy! Moses does not bring us into the land, our Joshua does, Y'shua, Jesus! Jonah's message was repent or judgment, however the Lord gave us a prophetic mandate to declare: Repent, the Kingdom of God is here! A Kingdom of love, joy, peace and righteousness confirmed with signs and wonders and the miraculous.

A judgmental, sin-focused, finger pointing, powerless church will not take back this nation. We are to be an advancing, mountain-taking troop, with the spirit of Joshua and Caleb, filled with the unconditional love, grace and mercy of our Father, bringing down the giants of deception and bondage, with a message that His heart for us is one of: "Hope, a future, prosperity, and blessing." His heart desire is for His children to indeed inherit the land!

The United States of America is not a Nineveh, though it is not perfect, we are a sheep nation, we have a covenant foundation that was birthed with the colonial battle cry of, "No King but King Jesus." God's heart is not angry and against America. If He loved Nineveh, how much more does He love this nation that has sent more missionaries and birthed more of the greatest moves of God in redemptive history?

This is the year to throw off the "Jonah mantle" and put the "Zeal of the Lord" on as a mantle (Isa. 9:7), and declare the "acceptable year of the Lord" (Isa. 61:2), His Jubilee! We are now in the 70th Jubilee year since Joshua and the Israelites crossed over the Jordan and into their inheritance.

I believe this is the year that the Lord wants His 3rd day people to "arise and shine" (Isa. 60:1) as His glory fills the temple, made not of brick and mortar but of "precious living stones" (1 Pet. 2:5), filling this nation with His message of the Gospel of the Kingdom. A prophetic message of amazing grace, mercy, total forgiveness of and deliverance from sin, restoration to Father God, healing, and freedom confirmed with signs, wonders, and miracles.

A people who believe the report of the 10 spies will be filled with doubt, fear, unbelief, criticalness and negativism. They will not possess the faith, hope, and confidence of Joshua and Caleb who declared, "But our God is able." They will not believe God wants to use them to do the miraculous and take back this nation!

We are not of the prophetic mold of Jonah, ours is a different spirit, one that believes our God wants to give us our inheritance, and in this Year of Jubilee, 2016-5776. He wants us to recover all, to possess this land, take back what has been stolen, and truly reap the full benefit of the debt cancellation that Jesus purchased on the Cross.

This is the year that the prophetic, in this nation, will have the "Jonah" spirit pruned away as unfruitful and destructive. We are instructed in Romans it is "the Kindness of God leads us to repentance" (Rom. 2:4). The prophetic voice of the New Covenant is an encouraging voice, one that is filled with the faith and declaration of the Good News of the Kingdom of God, and with an anointing that declares and demonstrates, "The acceptable year of the Lord"!

"5777 - A Year of Breakout, Breakthrough and a Finishing Anointing!"

We are in the waning days of 5776 (Ayin Vav) in the Hebraic calendar, a year that is a Jubilee year, however not just any Jubilee year but the 70th Jubilee year since Joshua brought the children of Israel across the Jordan! Much is taking place in the heavens and on the earth in this hour, and it is a time of great shaking and transition.

We, the new covenant people of God, are poised for a moment in the Kingdom of God like the days when Joshua and Caleb went into the Promised Land and took the land that was their inheritance. We are moving into a 7-year period of great favor, provision, and victory in the Body of Christ! Don't look at the giants in the land, or the fortifications of the enemy, for the Lord is with us!

"For thus says the Lord of hosts, 'Once more in a little while, I am going to shake the heavens and the earth, the sea also and the dry land. 'I will shake all the nations; and they will come with the wealth of all nations, and I will fill this house with glory,' says the Lord of hosts. The silver is Mine and the gold is Mine,' declares the Lord of hosts. 'The latter glory of this house will be greater than the former,' says the Lord of hosts, 'and in this place I will give peace,' declares the Lord of hosts." Hag. 2:6-9

We are the "precious living stones" that make up the "temple of the Lord" in this generation and the Lord is about to give us provision as He did the children of Israel coming out of Egypt and as He did with Ezra in the rebuilding of the temple. The glory of the Lord will be poured out on us in such a way that will make the days of Solomon pale in comparison.

"Arise, shine; for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you. For behold, darkness will cover the earth and deep darkness the peoples; But the Lord will rise upon you and His glory will appear upon you. Nations will come to your light, And kings to the brightness of your rising." Isa 60:1-3

A Year of a "Finishing Anointing"

This October 3rd on Rosh Hashanah, the Feast of Trumpets, we move into the new Hebraic year 5777 (Ayin Zayin), this will be a year that the Lord will bring us into a new "rest" in Him, even as the shaking is all around us. It is a year that we will see a "finishing" anointing come upon the Apostolic and Prophetic people of God. It is a year that we will see the "triune" sword of the Lord released against His enemies and continue through this new season!

5777 will be a breakout and breakthrough year that begins this October! Five is the number of grace and the number of government, and the fivefold expression of God. Seven (Zayin in Hebrew) is the number of rest; it can symbolize a sword, and it represents the finished work. I believe this year we will begin to exercise His authority and government in a way like we've never experienced before, as we enter into a rest in Him like we have never known.

We will see the triple sword of the Lord (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) go forth into all the earth, bringing down the enemy's plans just as Haman's plans came to naught and the tables were turned upon Him as the Queen received the favor of her king!

Many prophets are declaring that we are on the cusp of the greatest awakening in redemptive history, and that we are poised for a massive transfer of wealth and provision (as God did with the Israelites coming out of Egypt, Ezra in the rebuilding of the temple, and as Jesus with the gifts of the Magi), that we are on the eve of the outpouring of glory that will outshine any move of God in history. For those that have ears to hear and eyes to see, for those that move in the Issachar anointing (knowing the times and the seasons) there is an overwhelming sense that the days of victory and taking the land are now upon us!

Tighten your seat belts – 5777 is just around the corner!

"A Call To Action: We Have The Good News - Go Out In Boldness!"

This past month we, in this great nation, were shown incredible mercy in the presidential election; a mercy we did not deserve but were graciously extended by the hand of God. Once again, God has shed His grace on thee!

I am a "grace guy" through and through. No doubt, I need it every day. What grace do I need? His grace...a grace revealed by the Apostle Paul in Titus 2:11-15, "For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all men, instructing us to deny ungodliness and all worldly desires and to live sensibly, righteously and godly in the present age, looking for the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Christ Jesus, who gave Himself for us to redeem us from every lawless deed, and to purify for Himself a people for His own possession, zealous for good deeds. These things speak and exhort and reprove with all authority. Let no one disregard you."

I believe we should rejoice in this victory in our land without apology to anyone, yet in a spirit of humility not haughtiness; knowing that we have been shown great mercy. But for what purpose have we been shown mercy? Is it to go back to the status quo, to go back to compromise, to "unsanctified human mercy", and politically correct toleration? No, we have been shown mercy to take back the 7 mountains of culture and establish the agenda of the Kingdom of God in our land!

I inquired of the Lord what posture should we take after this remarkable upset (for those who are prophetic it was not an upset but a confirmation) in the Presidential election. I felt the Lord leading me to remember the story of David and Goliath.

David and Goliath

We all know the story of David, the shepherd boy, who had killed the lion and the bear while he was protecting the sheep. When he arrived at the battlefield to give provision to his brothers, he found that the entire army of God's covenant people were immobilized and filled with fear at the taunts of the champion Goliath, of the Philistine army. The Philistines worshipped false gods, they sacrificed their children to their idols, they cursed God, they hated everything about God's commandments and those who revered them, and those who loved and served the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. When David heard the slanderous taunts of Goliath and saw the fear of the Israelite army, he was incensed and said, "Who is this uncircumcised Philistine who taunts the army of the living God!" (1 Samuel 17:26.)

When Saul realized he had a potential combatant to go up against Goliath, he attempted to have David wear the "armor" that all the Israelite army wore, he even attempted to have David wear his (Saul's) own armor! David tried it on and saw that it was not "a fit" for him. Instead, he decided to use the weapons that had worked for him in the past!

The Response of the Israelites to David's Conquest

David went up against this giant Goliath. Goliath ridiculed him, demeaned David before all the armies, blasphemed God, declared his own invincibility, and trusted in his own size, strength, and past victories! I am sure that many, on both sides of the conflict, were "betting" heavily on David's "sure" loss.

What happened next shocked both sides. David reached down and pulled one of the 5 stones he had gathered from the stream (remember Goliath had 4 brothers, for David had more than Goliath in mind! 2 Sam. 21:22). He placed one stone in his well-used sling and began to swing it around his head, creating a sound that filled the silenced battlefield, a sound of the swirling winds of the motion of God's ordained weapon against Goliath. David released the stone and it found its mark and sunk deep in Goliath's forehead and knocked the giant Goliath down, wounded and in great agony!

David did not celebrate and walk back to the Israelite army, no, he ran toward the felled Goliath and picked up Goliath's own sword and cut the giant's head off! What did the Israelites do when they beheld David's victory? Did the army of God seek to comfort those Philistines who had oppressed them, taunted them, and defied their God? Did they turn around and say that was a great victory for David, and let's go back to life as normal?

No, they took the fight to them and prevailed in light of David's great victory over the Philistines Champion Goliath! When the Israelite army saw what just happened, they were emboldened and pursued the now afraid and fleeing Philistine army and defeated them and plundered them. (1 Samuel 17:50-55)

Our Call to Action

For the past 50 years or more, our nation and its leaders, have embraced and promoted a "Philistine culture" and celebrated "Goliath champions", in all the 7 mountains of our culture. We are now in a defining hour and moment in our history as a nation. We are in the deciding moment of our future, and the question is, "What will we as His covenant people do?"

I realize, "Our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms." (Eph. 6:12). Yet we have to realize that a great victory has occurred in this nation for the covenant people of God!

We now have the mandate from Heaven to ramp up our intercession, prayer, and declarations of God's Kingdom. We've been given a mandate to bring down rulers and powers that have enslaved and perverted the minds of millions. Share the Good News

The Gospel of the Kingdom is good news that proclaims freedom from captivity, deliverance from satan's grip, forgiveness of sins, new life and a new creation in Christ! His love and truth delivers us from the grip of destruction, self-destructive mindsets and world views that advance the agenda of darkness and death, as opposed to His blessing and life! His love and truth sets us free from self-destruction, sin, the world, and satan's grip...it does not comfort us in our rebellion but it leads us to freedom!

We have just experienced the beginning of a "Jubilee" manifestation of Isaiah 61 proportions in this nation, yet it is only a battle won, not a war finished. Please don't be short circuited by the clamor and pain of those who are threatened by their loss of hope for a godless society and culture, but rather be emboldened by this battle won, rejoice, and press into the war that must be fought with the assurance that His Kingdom is indeed coming on earth as it is in Heaven! Where Are We in Time?

1 Chronicles 12:32, "Of the sons of Issachar, men who understood the times, with knowledge of what Israel should do ..."

We are at a convergence of time in history (His story). Although there are many different epochs and "times" where God moved throughout the Scriptures, I believe we are living at a time where certain, specific past events of Scripture are now linking in with our moment in history. It's as if the Lord is threading these moments with ours, bringing the Spirit, anointing, mantles, and mandates of those days into ours.

I'm going to share what I believe some of these "times" are.

• The time of Him "Hearing the Cry."
• The time when the "Cup is Full."
• The "Appointed" time.
• The "Time of Justice."
• The "Fullness of Times."

In each of these times there were anointed people and peoples of God who carried mantles, mandates, and burdens from the Lord that caused nations to shift and brought people into liberty, freedom, destiny, and their inheritance from God. They are now being poured out upon us! I believe these times of the past are being connected with us! Let's take a look at them.

The Time of Hearing the Cry (Exodus 3:7)

This was the time when the Lord heard the cry of the children of Israel because of their harsh taskmasters and their bondage in slavery. In Moses' day the cry was heard from the children of Israel but I believe this parallels our day. So, then, who are the "Taskmasters" of our day?

• The corrupt bankers and their enslaving debt system (James 5:1-6).
• The "Deep State," "Babylonian," and evil systems of government.
• Anti-Christ religious structures.
• "Big Brother" cultural systems of mind control – media, entertainment, political correctness.

We read in our Bibles that God is "... not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance" (2 Peter 3:9) and that He so loved the world that He sent His Son that none should perish. The cry He has heard in our time is worldwide and "peoples wide"!

The Time of the Full Cup (Genesis 15:16)

God told Abraham his descendants would inherit the land of the Canaanites, but the "cup of the iniquity" of the Amorites was not yet full. They had an inheritance but could not possess it until 400 years of captivity in a foreign land, Egypt. The cup of iniquity of the Amorites was to be filled in those 400 years. The deliverance of Israel and their inheritance was tied to the "cup of iniquity" being full.

What is the "cup of Iniquity" in our day? The same as the Amorites.

• Child sacrifice to Baal – abortion worldwide.
• Human trafficking worldwide.
• Sexual immorality and gross perversion worldwide.
• Idolatry – the worship of demons and Luciferian obsession worldwide.

The cup is full!

The Appointed Time (Daniel 9:24-27 & Isaiah 45)

There are times that are just ordained of the Lord. It is His story, His world, and His divine timing.

Gabriel the angel gave a prophecy to Daniel that there would be 70 years of captivity in Babylon for the Israelites for breaking His Jubilee command, and at the appointed time of 70 years they would be released and return to Israel.

Isaiah 45 prophesied that Cyrus, a king (an outsider), who did not know God, would be God's anointed to conquer and take over Babylon (150 years before Cyrus was born) and it would be for God's elect's sake. In his second year as king over Babylon, he released the Jews to return to Israel!

What is the appointed time of our day?

• In 1948 Israel became a nation. In 1967 they took over Jerusalem. The Dead Sea scrolls were discovered in Wadi Qumran in 1946 or early 1947.
• Donald Trump (an outsider) became the 45th president of the United States. In his second year as president he moved the US Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem and declared Jerusalem as the eternal capital of the nation of Israel on the 70th anniversary of Israel's Declaration of Independence.

The Time of Justice (Esther 7)

This is the month of Adar, the month of Purim. It is a leap year in the Hebrew calendar, therefore we have Adar A and Adar B (February and March), a double-portion month. In the year 5779, a "finishing" year of the Ayin decade, the decade of the "Eye," are you seeing things differently now than in 2010 – 5770?. I'm praying for a "double portion" against the Hamans of this nation and the world this Purim!

There are times of justice when the plans of the wicked, to destroy God's people, are uncovered and the very plans they had for God's people are turned on their own heads.

What are some the injustices for our day?

• The Deep State attempting to destroy our "Cyrus," Donald J. Trump.
• The godless seeking to destroy our nation – Antifa, etc.
• Evil plotting against God's anointed, the "Ekklesia," the Church.
• Unjust judges and decisions disregarding the will of the people and of God, throwing off the "cords" of the law of God (Psalm 2).
• The Senate not protecting live birth abortion survivors.

Fullness of Time

Luke 21:24, "They will fall by the sword and will be taken as prisoners to all the nations. Jerusalem will be trampled on by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled."

The diaspora of the Jews that occurred after the destruction of the Temple in A.D. 70 sent them to all nations of the earth. They were a people without a land until 1948.

In the fullness of time Jesus came to the earth 2,000 years ago. We are now in the Church's (Ekklesia) fullness of time. It is the "arise and shine" moment of Isaiah 60. We are in the process of this now! He has heard our cry. He has heard the cry of the nations! A great awakening and harvest is beginning as the hold of Egypt is being broken and a plundering of her wealth will take place for God's people.

The cup of iniquity is full. The spirits of Joshua and Caleb are upon us. It is time to take the land and dispossess the giants of the culture and restore righteousness and justice and take possession of our inheritance.

It's the appointed time. With Donald Trump as the (Isaiah 45) 45th president, he has a "Cyrus" mandate from the Lord to subdue nations, break open the gates of bronze, and rebuild what Babylon has torn down. The entire world is shifting and shaking since he took office. He will not fail because God is fighting for him and through him just as He did with Cyrus.

The Hour of Esther

We, the Church, are this hour's Esther, with favor to approach the King and expose Haman's plans and declare and decree that they are overturned and justice is coming for God's people. With the acceptance of our oneness with the Jewish people in this hour, great authority is ours as we move in prophetic intercession for the nations!

We are the 3rd-day people of God ("a day is as a thousand years" [2 Peter 3:8]) who are living in the time of the restoration of Israel and Jerusalem with a "Cyrus" as our leader, and the whole world is shifting and shaking!

Hosea 6:1-2, "Come, let us return to the Lord. He has torn us to pieces but He will heal us; He has injured us but He will bind up our wounds. After two days He will revive us; on the third day He will restore us, that we may live in His presence."

All of these former times are paralleling and converging with the moment we are in, and along with these times are the anointings, callings, mantles, and mandates of the ones who God used.

The spirits of Joshua and Caleb are being loosed in this hour, the anointing of Cyrus is upon Trump, and the Church has the mandate of Zerubbabel and Nehemiah to rebuild the spiritual walls around the nations through prophetic declaration. The spirit of Esther is being released to the Church with favor to reveal and destroy the plans of the Hamans of this hour and to restore the fortunes of God's people. From Esther to Hadassah! We are in the time of the "Fullness of the Gentiles," as Jerusalem is now the capital of Israel!

Let's receive these gifts, mantles, and anointings for this hour, in faith, knowing that the victory is ours in Him!

BLACK GOLD

As a son of Oklahoma and Texas I grew up hearing oil referred to as "black gold". The "black gold" of oil in Oklahoma and Texas was the source of those two states greatest wealth. I believe our Lord has also deposited a great wealth in our nation, a glorious deposit of "Black Gold", black men and women who will be the "oil" in the cities of America that will fuel revival as the Lord's fire falls in our land.

The Lord gave me a picture of His hand gathering and preserving for Himself a remnant of "Black Gold" from Islamic Africa over 300 years ago....this remnant became acquainted with the "fellowship of His sufferings" and knew the lash and of slavery. In their affliction they sowed fields in America that, when ripe, would be "White for the Harvest", (in the natural fields of cotton).

Through their affliction they developed a rich history of faith in Christ, they were gifted with rich songs of hope, and a dignity born out of trial and suffering, a history that saw emancipation in the 1860's and liberation in the 1960's with the emergence of a gifted and prophetic leader in the Reverend Martin Luther King. No matter how modern church historians record his life, he truly was a man raised up by God for a crucial hour in the history of this nation.

Now 30 years later it is time for us to intercede and pray for God to raise up the anointed, broken, humble, and gifted black men and women who, through His hand, will ignite the "Black Gold" in the cities of America!
 
 

A Wind of Mercy

We have seen the "Black Gold" ignited by the enemy through the torch of hatred, agony, and prejudice, when we watched Los Angeles burn with hatred after the Rodney King trial in the early nineties. I believe this past October, (at the same time the hurricane Opal blew from the Gulf of Mexico into Canada in 24 hours!) a wind of mercy blew from the throne of God with a "not guilty" verdict in the O.J. trial. Regardless of anyone's opinions (and that's what they are, for there is only one Judge, and let's leave judgment in His eternal hands), God had mercy on this nation and kept the fires of "hatred" at bay!
 

Time to Intercede!

Let's seize the window of opportunity that the Lord has graciously handed us and pray for the fire of God's revival to ignite the precious "Black Gold" that he deposited in this country over 300 years ago. Some precious people, white and black, have been called to leave all and pour out their lives in caring for the poor of the inner cities but they tend to be in the minority. However the black community as a whole is still unimpacted and I believe will be until we repent of our arrogance and pride as seeing the white church as the equippers of the blacks and cry out in prayer and intercession for the Lord himself to raise up anointed black men and women, to be leaders and equippers of the church. Broken, humble, black leaders filled with His Spirit, a passion for Christ, compassion for their people, love for His church, and a fervent hope for revival for all the people of this Nation!

I believe as this takes place we will see the precious "Black Gold" deposited by the Lord in this country over 300 years ago ignite the cities of America with the passionate flames of revival as this world has never seen! The beginning of this century saw the flames of" Pentecostal revival" break out in Los Angeles at a place called Azusa Street in meetings led by humble, anointed "black leaders", and from this Azusa Street Revival was birthed the great Pentecostal Denominations we know today, as well as the Charismatic Renewal! I believe it is in God's heart to see the end of this century burn with the flames of an even greater "Pentecostal revival" as the "Black Gold" of this nation catches fire for God. Just as at the beginning of this century the "Black Gold" ignited the whole church in revival fire so we are poised now for the torch of God's passion to ignite the "Black Gold" again!

As the black forefathers of our nation planted and sowed with tears and suffering the fields of white in this land centuries ago, and our black "mother's" wept over their own children of which they were bereaved, and loved and nurtured the children, not their own, entrusted to their care, let's pray that their heirs will reap in joy the spiritual fields that are even now "white unto harvest", and nurture and bring forth in mighty revival the children who are spiritual heirs to the Kingdom of God in this nation of ours.
 
 

Our Posture in This Hour

Let us continue to receive with great joy and passion the Lord's gracious outpouring of renewal, yet at the same time let us assume a posture of humility and repentance for our arrogance, pride, and fear and recognize that as a nation we were built on the foundations of both "black and white". As the church in this nation we will see revival only as we accept that we as "black and white" brothers and sisters are "joint heirs to the promises of God" one "new man in Christ" and indeed are co-laborers in the fields of harvest together as equals in the Kingdom of God!
